For REVOLVE’s Around the World: Tokyo campaign, I collaborated with our team in illustrating an unforgettable, one-week adventure that spotlighted the authentic experiences of our talent, letting their voices guide the narrative. The campaign masterfully blended fashion, culture, and food, capturing the essence of a Gen Z girl’s first-time to Tokyo.

With a focus on authenticity, the content struck a fine balance between appreciating local culture and avoiding mimicry. From Cultural Deep Dives where we explored the culture of gado-shitas, konbinis, and even fun, hard-to-find cake vending machines to capitalizing on the growing demand for CGI videos, we created engaging, saveable assets that resonated with our audience—ones that were grounded, relatable, and aspirational.

The visual identity leaned into a futuristic yet nostalgic fashion-forward aesthetic, delivering a fresh take on travel and style through the lens of a new generation.

REVOLVE Around the World truly embodied its name during this campaign as our team sought a seamless blend across across continents, due to activations in Tokyo, Singapore, and Amsterdam — all in the same month.

I collaborated closely with the Art Director to leverage current CGI trends and identify unique elements in each city that would tease REVOLVE’s upcoming presence. In Japan, where gaming culture is deeply ingrained, we tapped into Gen Z's fascination with 90s-inspired plushes and trinkets as fashion accessories. This creative approach led us to fuse the mechanics of a Japanese crane game with its iconic arcades, crafting an engaging and culturally resonant experience that showcased the intersection of fashion and play.

Following the CGI teaser, we aimed to maintain the momentum by using the same crane game to invite our audience into REVOLVE’s universe in Tokyo, showcasing the seamless harmony between nature and urban life. This interactive experience not only engaged participants but also illustrated how the self-expression found within clothing and culture intertwine within Tokyo's vibrant landscape, inviting them to discover the unique essence of the city through REVOLVE's perspective.

As part of our REVOLVE Around The World cultural series, we immersed ourselves in Tokyo's dynamic energy, capturing its distinct experiences. From the bustling gado-shitas to the hidden gem vending machines scattered throughout the city, we seamlessly blended fashion with the vibrant culture of Tokyo’s streets, crafting a narrative that highlighted the city’s unique pulse and style.
